Soldiers of St. Michael and Altar Servers are still meeting and sharing ideas for continuing the faith formation of our students such as the rosary and May Crowning.
High school teacher, Mr. Petro, created a YouTube channel to post videos to help his AP Spanish Literature and Culture students review for their upcoming AP exam. AP exams started this week Good luck to all of our students taking their AP tests.

St. Anthony Middle School started a shared “Creativity Page” where students can upload ways they are staying creative. Here is a picture that 6th grade scholar, Angie Salgado, created using her phone! Great work!
Check out K5 St. Anthony teacher, Mrs. Schmoll’s caterpillars grow. Students are using a caterpillar observation journal to track how much the caterpillars have grown. Students were asked to draw a picture of what they look like and write about what they saw or how they’ve changed.

St. Anthony 1st grade teachers are using Boom Cards as part of their digital learning. Boom cards are digital, self-checking, interactive activities. Students are shown one question at a time and get instant feedback on their answers.
The Soldiers of St. Michael, a upper elementary campus extracurricular group dedicated to faith, leadership and service, are meeting virtually every Monday at 4pm.

Professional development does not stop at St. Anthony School during this time! The middle school science team and middle school dean of instruction are taking a professional development course through Stanford University on breaking down the standards and focus around skills instead of content.
Lower Elementary Principal, Ms. Campos, does the morning prayer reading in English and Spanish from the book "Blessings Every Day" (simple devotions for children). She invites the families to meet with the children and reflect on the daily readings. At the end, she mentions the students' birthdays every day.
Wow! Middle School Teacher, Ms. VanKommer, put together a bonus loom lesson to highlight some of the best slides students turned in for their assignment the day before and went through why they were great!
We love our St. Anthony Staff! St. Anthony High School is being proactive in communicating with students with a weekly report emailed to all students from the administration and from our wonderful guidance counselors!
