The National Association of Hispanic Priests hosted its 28th Annual National Convention in Milwaukee Monday, September 18-Thursday, September 21. Approximately 150 priest across the country attended this year’s conference titled “En Camino al V Encuentro.”
Special guests included Bishop Gerald R. Barnes, Bishop Arturo Cepeda Siller, Most Rev. Alberto Rojas, Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, and Milwaukee's own Archbishop Jerome Listecki.
The conference began with a celebration of the Holy Mass at St. Anthony Parish celebrated by Archbishop Garcia, followed by a reception. Archbishop Listecki welcomed priests to Milwaukee with a celebration of the Holy Mass at the Cathedral. Other activities were held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Milwaukee.
As it is a tradition every year, Fr. Robert McGlinn was honored with El Buen Pastor Award, for his significant impact in the Hispanic Community of the Church in the Unites States. This year, Archbishop Patricio F. Flores was also posthumously honored.
As we continue this shared mission of promoting vocations to the priesthood among the Hispanic community, we ask for your prayers.
