Developing the Whole Child

St. Anthony Preschool’s high-quality early childhood education program positively contributes to each child’s health and development while promoting life-long learning.

Our children are assessed using the Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment Tool to measure growth in meeting the following learning goals.

Social-Emotional

Preschool students engage in activities that promote cooperation, turn-taking, and interpersonal problem-solving skills.

Language

Teachers support students’ communication skills by building academic vocabulary and guiding open-ended discussions.

Literacy

Teachers read aloud and instruct small-group lessons to teach text features, comprehension skills, alphabet, phonics, and handwriting.

Mathematics

Preschool students are introduced to counting, number recognition, and patterning.

Motor Skills

Newly updated indoor and outdoor play facilities allow students to jump, climb, build, and run!

Faith Formation

St. Anthony Preschool students learn to respect themselves and others in faith-filled classrooms.
